1. Who we are

Career DNA is a free, just-for-fun personality test made in Singapore. In this notice, "Career DNA", "we" and "us" mean the people who run this website. "You" means anyone who visits it.

2. What we collect

Just taking the test. You can take the test and read your result without giving us any personal details. Your answers are used to work out your type, and your progress is held in your own browser while you go (see section 9).

If you choose to unlock or save your full report, you may give us:

  • your name, email address and mobile number;
  • your personality type and scores, and how you found the site.

If you apply for an in-person session (when one is offered), you may also give us:

  • your full name as it appears on your NRIC or passport, and the mobile number your PayNow is registered to, so that any thank-you payment reaches the right person;
  • your preferred session slot, and a declaration that you are 21 or older;
  • optionally, your date of birth and time of birth, if you want a birth-chart career reading. This is never required.

We do not ask for NRIC numbers, bank account details or payment card details.

3. How we use it

  • to send you your Career DNA report and any email you asked for;
  • to contact you about career opportunities and related events, but only if you ticked the box that says we may;
  • to arrange, confirm and pay for a session you applied for;
  • to prepare a birth-chart reading, only if you gave your birth details and consented to that use;
  • to keep simple, anonymous counts of how the test is used and to keep the site running safely.

We will not use your details for anything materially different without asking you first.

5. Sharing and transfers

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

To deliver what you asked for, your details pass through the services that carry the messages, such as email providers and WhatsApp, and through the hosting provider that runs this site. Those services handle your data under their own terms. Where a service sits outside Singapore, we take reasonable steps to make sure your data is given protection comparable to the PDPA.

We may disclose personal data where the law requires it, for example to a court or regulator.

6. How long we keep it

We keep personal data only as long as we need it for the purposes above, and for no more than two years after you gave it to us. After that it is deleted automatically. You can ask us to delete it sooner.

7. Security

We make reasonable security arrangements to protect personal data, including limiting who can see it and protecting sensitive details while they are stored. No website or system can be made completely secure, and we cannot guarantee that unauthorised access will never happen. If a breach is likely to cause you significant harm, we will tell you and the authorities as the PDPA requires.

8. Your access and correction rights

You can ask us what personal data we hold about you and how it has been used, and you can ask us to correct anything that is wrong. Reply to any email or message we have sent you and tell us what you need. We may need to confirm that you are the person the data belongs to before we release or change anything.

If you are not happy with how we have handled your data, you can raise it with us first. You also have the right to complain to Singapore's Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC).

9. Cookies and browser storage

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not load third-party trackers. The test keeps your answers in your browser's own temporary storage so that a page refresh does not lose your progress. It stays on your device and clears when you close the tab or clear your browser data.

10. Age

Career DNA is meant for adults. If you are under 18, please do not submit personal details without a parent or guardian's permission. In-person sessions are for people aged 21 and above only.

11. Disclaimers

Career DNA is a fun personality reflection tool. Please read these limits before relying on anything you see here.

  • Not professional advice. Nothing on this site, including your type, report, career suggestions and any birth-chart reading, is career, financial, investment, legal, medical or psychological advice.
  • Not an assessment. The test is not a psychometric or clinical assessment, not a measure of ability or suitability, and must not be used to hire, reject, screen or make decisions about anyone.
  • No guarantees. Results are based on your own answers on one day and can change with mood, life stage and context. We do not promise that a result is accurate, complete or right for you, and no income, job or career outcome is promised or implied.
  • Your own decisions. You are responsible for the choices you make using what you read here. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Career DNA is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, the site or its content.
  • As is. The site is provided "as is" and "as available". It may change, be interrupted or be withdrawn at any time.
  • Links and third parties. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of other websites or services you reach through ours.
  • Who you might meet. Where a session or conversation is offered, the people involved work in financial advisory. Attending is not a job application and creates no obligation on either side.
